FILE & IMAGE TOOLS / LOCAL TOOL
QR Image Reader
Read a QR code from an image on your device.
HOW IT WORKS
Decoding a user-selected QR image
A local image is rendered to a browser canvas and decoded in memory. The decoded text is shown as text and is never opened automatically.
Limits to keep in mind
The reader accepts common raster images up to 15 MiB. Blurry, rotated, damaged or unusually dense QR codes may not decode.
A PRACTICAL WORKFLOW
Use the result carefully.
01Choose an image containing a QR code. The image is decoded locally and is not opened as a link.
02Run the utility and inspect the complete output.
03Read a URL’s hostname before opening it and do not trust a QR code just because it scans.
COMMON QUESTION
Does this reader visit encoded links?
No. It only displays the decoded characters.
