PRIVACY TOOLS / LOCAL TOOL
Text Encryptor
Encrypt and decrypt short messages locally with AES-GCM.
HOW IT WORKS
Password-based AES-GCM encryption
A random salt and nonce are generated for each encryption. PBKDF2 derives an AES-256-GCM key from the password, and the output includes the parameters needed to decrypt it.
Limits to keep in mind
Anyone who knows the password can decrypt the message. A browser tool cannot protect data on a compromised device, and losing the password makes the ciphertext unrecoverable.
A PRACTICAL WORKFLOW
Use the result carefully.
01Choose Encrypt or Decrypt, enter a message and a long unique password, then save or copy the result.
02Run the utility and inspect the complete output.
03Use a unique, long passphrase and verify the decrypted text before relying on it.
COMMON QUESTION
Can SafeStack recover my password?
No. The password is used only in this browser session and is not saved by the tool.
